In Hatay, helmeted and armed thieves who stole 4 kilograms of gold worth 24 million TL from a jeweler in 3 minutes were caught and taken into custody. The suspects, who were found to have records with the police for various crimes, had the stolen gold buried in the ground at 4 different locations. 4 out of the 5 suspects were arrested and sent to prison.
On January 4th, in the Kırıkhan district of Hatay, two armed and helmeted thieves entered a jeweler in the Yeni Mahalle, stealing approximately 4 kilograms of gold worth about 24 million lira in just 2 minutes before disappearing.
5 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
As a result of the analysis conducted by the Hatay Police Department and 10 hours of examination of the KGYS, PTS, and workplace cameras, 5 suspects in the incident were identified. The suspects C.T., A.A., A.T., Z.H.G., and İ.T. were arrested.
CRIMINAL RECORDS ARE EXTENSIVE
It was learned that C.T. has a record for 4 counts of intentional injury, A.A. for drug use, A.T. for drug use and 4 counts of intentional injury, and Z.H.G. for intentional injury.
GOLD BURIED IN 4 DIFFERENT PLACES RECOVERED
As a result of the investigations, the weapons used in the incident, two vehicles with fake plates, and gold buried in 4 different locations were seized.
4 OF THEM WERE ARRESTED
Of the individuals referred to the judicial authorities, 4 were arrested and taken to prison.
Meanwhile, it was captured on security cameras that despite their vehicle breaking down while going to commit the theft, the individuals did not abandon the robbery and continued on their way with other vehicles.
