In a drone strike on a market in Sudan, 28 people, including women, children, and the elderly, lost their lives. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, and there are concerns about the rising death toll.
An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack was carried out on the El-Safiya market near the Sodari region in North Kordofan state of Sudan in the evening hours of the previous day.
28 PEOPLE, INCLUDING CHILDREN AND WOMEN, HAVE DIED
In a statement made by human rights monitoring organizations, it was reported that 28 people, including women, children, and the elderly, lost their lives in the attack, and many others were injured.
INCREASE IN CASUALTIES IS EXPECTED
While no one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, it was noted that there are concerns about the rising death toll due to the presence of severely injured individuals. The region in question has been one of the centers of the ongoing violent clashes between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) for a long time.
