Couples who want their wedding dates to be more special have started to book their wedding dates for May 25, 2025, months in advance.
In normal days, between 5 and 8 weddings are held at the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Marriage Office, which opened its second hall after the intense demand, ensuring that no couple is turned away.
At the marriage office, where five times more weddings than usual will be held, the weddings of 40 couples who want to make their wedding dates unforgettable will take place.
122 WEDDINGS IN 3 DISTRICTS OF ANTALYA
In Antalya and the 3 districts in the center, a total of 122 couples applied to the marriage offices to get married on May 25, 2025. Last year, the date April 24, 2024, had also seen high demand.

In Antalya, the couple Tuğba Acar and Mehmet Büyükak also came to the marriage office to get married on May 25, 2025. Tuğba Acar stated that they wanted to get married on a special date, saying, "This date is actually our anniversary. We also noticed the intensity. Our president Muhittin Böcek was kind enough not to turn us away and squeezed us into this date. Right now, we are excited. I think we have zero chance of forgetting our wedding date. I won't forget, and my spouse won't forget either, hopefully," she said.
Mehmet Büyükak, who stated that they wanted to make the day they met their wedding date, said, "We wanted our wedding date to be a special day. In fact, we waited for 1 year to be able to get a date. We won't have a chance to forget it," he expressed.
