In the Cappadocia region, one of Turkey's important tourism centers, a hot air balloon that took off from the town of Göreme around 06:00 collided with a parked car in the area. The impact caused damage to the car. The hot air balloon, however, continued its flight. The hot air balloon successfully completed its flight, which lasted approximately 1 hour.

Moments when approximately 10 people tried to prevent the collision by holding onto the basket of the hot air balloon were captured on mobile phone cameras by bystanders.
