PAID COMPENSATION
Following Mustafa Reşit Akçay's resignation, a surprising development occurred. It was revealed that Karşıyaka would receive compensation from the experienced coach. In the contract that Mustafa Reşit Akçay signed with the club at the beginning of the season, there is a clause stating that if he unilaterally terminates the contract, he would pay the club 1 million TL in compensation. Since Akçay left at his own request, he paid money to the club.
DID NOT ATTEND TRAININGS
Additionally, Karşıyaka confirmed through a notary that Mustafa Reşit Akçay, who returned to his hometown of Trabzon on January 19 before the away match against Kırşehir without informing anyone, did not attend training for 3 days. Thus, the club gained the right to claim compensation from the 65-year-old coach. After a meeting with the club upon his departure, Mustafa Reşit Akçay left with the understanding that he would receive 1 salary, and he paid an additional 500 thousand TL on top of that.
