White House sources said that the next two days are very critical and that it will become clear whether a diplomatic solution can be found between Washington and Tehran during this time.
Last night, Donald Trump stated on the social media platform Truth Social that he knows where Iran's religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is hiding. However, he indicated that he would not yet give the order to attack, adding the following phrase in capital letters at the end of his post: "SURRENDER UNCONDITIONALLY!"
Israeli officials also hinted that they are planning a similar operation for Thursday night, just like the surprise attack they previously carried out against Hezbollah leaders.
On Tuesday, Trump met with security advisors in the White House's Situation Room. According to sources speaking to the U.S. media, Trump has become increasingly disturbed by Iran's stance. It was noted that he found Iran's responses to the airstrikes initiated by Israel last Friday to be "insufficient and mocking."
The U.S. military has recently sent numerous fighter jets and ships to the Middle East. Although the White House claims that this mobilization is "defensive," there is significant military preparation in the region.
It has been reported that Trump has begun to seriously consider the possibility of a direct attack on Iran in his recent discussions with advisors.
Meanwhile, Iran's religious leader Ayatollah Khamenei did not remain silent. In late-night posts, he called for war. In an image he shared on social media, a man with a sword was seen attacking doors while fire rained down on an ancient city. He added the following words to his post:
"The war begins in the name of the noble Haydar (Hz. Ali)."
This expression symbolizes Hz. Ali's religious and military leadership in Shia belief. Khamenei's post indicates that Iran has no intention of backing down in the face of a potential conflict.
