THE PICKUP TRUCK OVERTURNED AND WAS DRAGGED
The accident occurred around 5:30 PM at the Kavaklıdere junction on the Denizli-Izmir highway. The pickup truck with license plate 45 Y 8708, driven by I.G. (39), lost control on the slippery road due to the rain. The truck, whose driver lost control of the steering wheel, began to overturn and was dragged. The pickup truck crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a car with license plate 20 AFU 681, driven by A.Ç. (31), who was traveling towards Salihli. Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
INVESTIGATION INTO THE ACCIDENT IS CONTINUING
In the initial intervention by the teams at the scene, it was determined that the pickup truck driver I.G. and E.Ş. (31), who was in the same vehicle, had lost their lives. The driver A.Ç. and F.Ç. (33), who was in the car, were lightly injured, while D.B. (50) was seriously injured. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals by medical teams.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
