Due to the global economic crisis, many companies in Turkey have declared bankruptcy, and the latest addition to the list is Özel Gıda, which has been operating for 85 years. The giant company, unable to overcome its financial difficulties, has declared concordat.
Özel Gıda, which operates in the food, construction, and textile sectors, has filed for concordat at the Ankara West Commercial Court due to financial difficulties.
The court evaluated the company's application for restructuring its debts and continuing its operations, granting a three-month temporary bankruptcy protection decision. It also ruled for the appointment of a two-person concordat commissioner board to closely monitor the company's financial structure. It was stated that the next hearing will be held in January 2026.
