"THERE WAS A DISGRACEFUL REFEREE"
Claiming that the 104 minutes of play in the match were due to the referee's decisions, Rıdvan Dilmen said, "The reason this game lasted 104 minutes was not the players, but the referee. How such a bad referee could be in the Europa League is a separate issue. However, there was a disgraceful referee who managed the match poorly," he said.
"TEDESCO SUMMARIZED THE MATCH BEFORE IT STARTED"
Referring to Fenerbahçe's head coach Domenico Tedesco's pre-match statements, Dilmen noted that the coach's words matched the performance on the field:
"Tedesco said in his pre-match statement, 'Every match is important.' Yes, this match was very important for the community, in terms of the Europa League and morale. He said, 'Every match is like a final,' which is true. He said, 'We are eager,' and the team was indeed eager. He said, 'We are hungry,' and the players were hungry. So Tedesco summarized the match before it even started," he said.
"THE FANS AND MANAGEMENT SHOWED A PROPER UNITY"
Rıdvan Dilmen also praised the Fenerbahçe fans and management, stating, "Today, there was again an enthusiastic fan group that motivated the team. The management also took a correct step by having dinner with the fan groups. However, if a player is walking on the field, how long can the fans shout? If the fans have turned the stands into a library, how can the players be motivated?
