A heart-wrenching scene emerged from the terrible accident in Körfez district of Kocaeli, where a car traveling on the D-100 highway rear-ended a truck. The car was crushed under the truck upon impact, and the father and son inside lost their lives.

The accident occurred at the Hacıosman Mahallesi location on the D-100 Highway in the Körfez district. According to the information received, the car with license plate 41 APR 786, driven by 24-year-old Emin Tolgay, violently rear-ended a truck traveling ahead of it. With the speed and force of the collision, the front section of the car entered under the truck's trailer, and the vehicle's roof was crushed like paper.
MEDICAL TEAMS' INTERVENTION WAS INSUFFICIENT
After other drivers in the area reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center, police, fire, and medical teams were quickly dispatched to the accident scene. In the initial check carried out by the medical personnel who arrived at the scene inside the wrecked vehicle, it was determined that the driver, Emin Tolgay, and his 53-year-old father, Musa Tolgay, who was a passenger in the car, had lost their lives.
BODIES TAKEN TO MORGUE, INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED
After the accident, police teams took security measures in the area and ensured controlled traffic flow. The lifeless bodies of the father and son who lost their lives were taken to the hospital morgue following prosecutor and crime scene investigation work at the scene.
After the car was removed from under the truck with the help of a tow truck and cleared from the road, police teams launched a comprehensive investigation into this horrific accident.
