A severe storm in Bursa blew off roofs, toppled trees, moved stationary prefabricated houses, and overturned bus stops. Authorities urged citizens not to go outside unless absolutely necessary.
The storm that was effective in the morning hours in Bursa negatively affected life. The governorship announced that the speed of the storm could reach up to 75 kilometers.
Due to the storm, roof parts were blown onto the road from a workplace in the Veysel Karani neighborhood of the central Osmangazi district. A tree was uprooted in the Demirtaşpaşa neighborhood of the central Osmangazi district. A container also went adrift on the Orhaneli road in the Nilüfer district. The bus stop was overturned due to the storm.

While there were no injuries or fatalities in the incidents, officials urged citizens not to go out unless absolutely necessary.
SW WIND BLOCKS SHIP TRAFFIC
On the other hand, due to the strong southwesterly wind affecting the Dardanelles Strait, transit ship traffic has been temporarily halted in both directions.
The strong southwesterly wind, which has been increasing its effect since the morning hours in the region, caused an increase in the current speed at sea. The Dardanelles Strait Ship Traffic Services Directorate announced via radio to the captains of ships sailing from the north and south that the strait was closed to transit ship crossings in both directions.
All ferry services between Geyikli-Bozcaada and Kabatepe-Gökçeada will also be suspended today and tomorrow for the same reason.
