The son of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Nicolas Maduro Guerra, who was captured by the U.S., warned against possible betrayals from within the power front following the detention of his father and his father's wife, Cilia Flores, in an operation led by the U.S.
"THOSE RESPONSIBLE WILL EMERGE BEFORE HISTORY"
Speaking in an audio recording shared online, Maduro Guerra stated that those responsible will emerge before history. His statements indicated that there may be internal divisions within the Chavismo movement that has formed around his father. "History will show who the traitors are. History will reveal this," he said.
CALL TO HIS SUPPORTERS
Maduro Guerra, a deputy from La Guaira state and one of the senior figures of the ruling United Socialist Party (PSUV), called for unity among his supporters.
Guerra, who urged the mobilization of party members and supporters on January 4 and 5, emphasized the importance of political regrouping and maintaining morale. He also stated that tighter political and military coordination is needed against "external attacks."
"THEY WANT TO SEE US WEAK"
Despite the anger and pain, Guerra emphasized that the movement will continue to be present on the streets. "They want to see us weak. We are fine, we are calm. You will see us among the people. Of course, we are hurting, of course, it makes us angry, but they will not succeed," he said.
