With TÜİK announcing the December inflation rate as 0.89%, the six-month inflation rate has reached 12.18%. Accordingly, the lowest pension will increase from 16,881 TL to 18,937 TL. However, to implement this increase, a legal regulation needs to be made in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

With the announcement of the inflation rate for December by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) at 0.89 percent, the inflation rate for the second half of the year was calculated to be 12.18 percent. Thus, the 6-month inflation difference has become clear.

DIRECTLY AFFECTING SSK AND BAĞ-KUR RETIREES

The rate of 12.18 percent calculated as the inflation for the second half of the year will be directly reflected in the monthly pensions of SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees. Accordingly, retirees will see the inflation difference in their salaries as of January.

THE LOWEST RETIREMENT PENSION HAS BECOME 18,937 LIRA

Since the base pension is below 16,881 lira, the pension of retirees whose salaries are completed to this level will increase to 18,937 lira with a 12.18 percent increase. However, for this increase to be directly applied, a legal regulation will need to be made in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
