In a statement made through the social media account of the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), it was noted that an attack was carried out on a boat that was sailing on a previously identified drug trafficking route in the Eastern Pacific and was alleged to be conducting drug trafficking activities, under the instruction of U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.
