The U.S. Supreme Court ruled yesterday that the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), under which the tariffs were implemented by Trump, did not grant the president the authority to impose tariffs.

In a press conference regarding the decision, Trump stated, "Foreign countries that have been robbing us for years are very happy, dancing in the streets. But you can be sure they won't be able to dance for long."
Trump expressed that there are even stronger methods he can use than the IEEPA tariffs, announcing that he would sign a decision to implement a 10% global tariff in addition to the tariffs currently in place under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974.
Trump also mentioned that they would initiate various investigations under Section 301 and other provisions to protect the U.S. from unfair trade practices by other countries and companies.
