Ali Fidan, the Governor of Nevşehir appointed to the General Directorate of Security, was bid farewell through a ceremony held in the city. Saying goodbye one by one to citizens and staff and asking for their forgiveness, Fidan stated, 'In every corner, district, town, and village of our Nevşehir, we found beautiful friendships, loves, kindnesses, and beauties. Even though we are physically leaving Nevşehir, a part of our heart, our soul, and our memories will remain in this city.'
A farewell ceremony was held for Ali Fidan, the Governor of Nevşehir, who was appointed to the position of General Director of Security by the Presidential Decree.
SAID GOODBYE ONE BY ONE The ceremony, held in front of the governor's building, was attended by deputy governors, members of the judiciary, district governors, mayors, institution directors, police and gendarmerie personnel, representatives of non-governmental organizations, and many citizens. Emotional moments were experienced during the ceremony, as Governor Ali Fidan bid farewell to the participants one by one. Before the ceremony, Governor Fidan signed the Governor's Honor Book.
"OUR HEARTS AND MEMORIES WILL BE IN NEVŞEHİR" Stating that he is leaving Nevşehir with beautiful memories, Fidan said: "I have been appointed as the General Director of Security by the approvals of our President and our Minister of Interior. I will start my duty as of 17:00 today. For approximately 2.5 years, I have had the honor and pride of working as the Governor of Nevşehir and serving our citizens. My wife and I loved Nevşehir. We accumulated very beautiful memories, friendships, and good things here. We received very positive feedback. We found beautiful friendships, loves, kindnesses, and beauties in every corner, district, town, and village of our Nevşehir. Together with our colleagues, we strived to raise the service flag entrusted to us even higher. Although we are physically leaving Nevşehir, a part of our heart, our soul, and our memories will remain in this city."
Asking for forgiveness from citizens and personnel, Fidan accepted gifts given by Mayor Rasim Arı, Nevşehir Union of Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen President Mehmet Pınarbaşı, and gendarmerie personnel.
At the farewell program attended by the provincial protocol, district and town mayors, representatives of political parties and non-governmental organizations, neighborhood and village headmen, tradesmen, and citizens, pilots who came to the governor's building with hot air balloon baskets also saluted Fidan by igniting the burner.
