Trump, who stated that he met Toyoda in Japan, shared that he jokingly asked him, "Is your name Toyota?" and "Are you the owner of the car company?" He mentioned that Toyoda responded to this question by saying, "Yes, I own 92% of it," to which Trump replied, "You didn't need to give that much detail."
While recounting his memory, Trump also touched on Toyoda's wealth, saying, "Then I said, 'You are rich.' He replied, 'Yes, yes, I am very rich,'" which caused laughter in the room.
