U.S. President Donald Trump made a notable statement regarding the Russia-Ukraine war while on a plane returning from Scotland. Previously, Trump had said, "I am giving Russia 10-12 days." This time, he stated, "I am giving them 10 days starting today. After that, we will impose tariffs and similar measures."

US President Donald Trump, upon returning from Scotland, stated to reporters on the plane that he is giving Russia "10 days from today" in response to a reminder that they had previously given Ukraine 10-12 days to reach an agreement.

US President Donald Trump answered reporters' questions on the plane while returning to the US after his visit to Scotland.

"I AM GIVING RUSSIA 10 DAYS FROM TODAY"

In response to a question regarding his previous statement of "I am giving Russia 10-12 days," Trump said, "I am giving 10 days from today. After that, we will impose tariffs and similar things. I don't know if this will affect Russia. Clearly, (Russian President Vladimir) Putin wants to continue the war, but we will impose tariffs," he stated.

"I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS MEETING"

When asked when he would meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Trump said, "I am also looking forward to this meeting, but I can say that it will be before the end of the year. Today we had a very good meeting (with China). If you had asked me this question yesterday, I would have said no, the situation didn't look good, but today I heard from (Secretary of Commerce) Scott that the meeting with China went very well," he said.

"CHILDREN IN GAZA ARE SUFFERING FROM HUNGER"

In response to a question about the humanitarian tragedy caused by the ongoing war in Gaza, Trump said, "I think everyone, unless they are heartless or worse, insane, cannot say anything other than it is terrible when they see those children. They are children, whether they talk about hunger or not, they are starving children. They are suffering from hunger. You see their mothers, they love them very much, but they have nothing they can do. They need to find food for them," he stated.

FRANCE AND ENGLAND'S DECISIONS ON PALESTINE

In response to reminders of French President Emmanuel Macron's previous dismissive remarks regarding the decision to recognize Palestine, Trump said, "Yes, that is his opinion. He can have an opinion. That doesn't mean I have to agree. Emmanuel is a good man. He works hard, and he has a lot to say on every issue," he said.

Trump also addressed the statements made by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer regarding the recognition of Palestine, saying, "They are basically saying the same thing, and that is not a problem. That doesn't mean I have to agree," he stated.
