A new step has been taken in the normalization process between Turkey and Armenia. In a statement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was reported that Ankara and Yerevan have decided to facilitate the visa process for holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Turkey and Armenia have decided to facilitate the visa process for holders of diplomatic, service, and private passports.

In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was noted that a new step has been taken within the framework of the agreement reached between the Special Representatives of Turkey and Armenia in the Normalization Process.

The statement recorded that a mutual decision was made to facilitate the visa process for holders of diplomatic, service, and private passports of the two countries, and included the following expressions;

Holders of diplomatic, service, and private passports of the two countries will be able to obtain e-visas free of charge as of January 1, 2026. On this occasion, Turkey and Armenia reaffirm their commitment to continue the normalization process between the two countries unconditionally, with the goal of full normalization.
