Turkey's automotive industry increased its exports by 6.3% in 2024, reaching 37 billion 212 million dollars. The sector has been the export champion for the 18th time in the last 19 years. Exports in December reached 3.5 billion dollars, marking a 10% increase.

HISTORICAL MONTHLY EXPORT RECORD
In December 2024, the automotive sector reached an export of 3.5 billion dollars with a 10% increase, achieving the highest second monthly export figure to date.
SUPPLY INDUSTRY ACHIEVES 5% INCREASE IN EXPORTS
The supply industry, which has the largest product group with a 40% share in the sector, exported 14 billion 879 million dollars in 2024, marking a 5% increase compared to the previous year. In December, an export of 1 billion 133 million dollars was realized with a 2% increase.
EXPORT PERFORMANCE IN IMPORTANT MARKETS
Last month, exports to Germany in the supply industry decreased by 1%, while exports to France increased by 8%, to Romania by 26%, to the USA by 37%, and to Morocco by 29%. However, there was a decrease in exports to the United Kingdom by 10%, to Italy by 14%, and to Russia by 52%.
19% INCREASE IN PASSENGER CARS
The passenger cars product group exported 1 billion 307 million dollars in December 2024, marking a 19% increase and becoming the largest product group in automotive exports. During this period, exports to France increased by 25%, to Italy by 26%, to Germany by 27%, to Slovenia by 412%, and to Belgium by 232%.
GERMANY REMAINS THE LARGEST MARKET
Last year, a total of 4 billion 856 million dollars was exported to Germany, the largest market for the automotive sector. While there was an export increase of 25% to the second largest market, the United Kingdom, 9.5% to Italy, 33% to Slovenia, 19% to the USA, and 33.5% to Romania, there was a decrease of 16% to Russia and 21% to Sweden.
