Modern Chocolate, which operates in Karaman and is known as one of Turkey's important food producers, has gone bankrupt. The company, founded about 40 years ago, had declared concordat last year.

PARTNERED WITH ÜLKER

Modern Chocolate, which has an annual production capacity of 140 thousand tons, was particularly known for its special production for supermarket chains. The company, which partnered with Ülker, produced over 300 products in 7 main categories: biscuits, chocolate, cake, crackers, chocolate bars, wafers, and cream chocolate.

ALSO MADE IT TO ISO 500 LIST

Before the concordat process, the number of employees in the company had exceeded 3,000. Modern Chocolate also exported chocolate and chocolate products to neighboring countries. The company was listed in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry's (ISO) Second 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises list until 2023, and it ranked 7th in the 2023 Corporate Tax Karaman list.
