Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that they have reached 90% physical progress in the production of the first set of the national electric high-speed train and stated that they plan to produce a total of 15 sets between 2026 and 2028.

Uraloğlu provided information about the national electric high-speed train set, which will have a speed of 225 kilometers per hour, in a written statement. Emphasizing that they are nearing the end of the interior fittings of the train and are doing the finishing touches, Uraloğlu stated that the aluminum-bodied national electric high-speed train sets will have a capacity of 577 passengers. Minister Uraloğlu noted that the vehicles that make up the set are equipped with a train control and monitoring system that ensures passenger comfort and safety, an automatic train stopping system, electromechanical passenger entry doors, fully automatic climate control, fire alarm, auditory and visual passenger information, and camera systems.

THERE WILL BE A VENDING MACHINE AND KITCHEN SECTION, AND WI-FI ACCESS

Uraloğlu mentioned that the train will have wi-fi access for passengers to use comfortably during their journey, vending machines to easily meet their food and beverage needs, and a kitchen section, stating, "Additionally, our vehicle will have two passenger compartments for disabled passengers and elevators that allow them to be lowered and raised from the platform to the vehicle and from the vehicle to the platform with their wheelchairs."

TESTS WILL START THIS YEAR
