Turkey's first export of an unmanned maritime vehicle took place with Qatar.

The ULAQ Armed Unmanned Surface Vehicle, developed by ARES Shipyard and Meteksan Defense, achieved Turkey's first export of an unmanned surface vehicle with a contract signed with the Ministry of Interior of Qatar.

The ULAQ Armed Unmanned Surface Vehicle, developed by ARES Shipyard and Meteksan Defense, has achieved Turkey's first unmanned surface vehicle export success.

According to a statement from Meteksan Defense, ULAQ has also made another milestone by signing its first export contract with Qatar. The contract, signed with the Qatari Ministry of Interior during the Milipol Qatar Exhibition, is Turkey's first unmanned surface vehicle export project.

CAN PROTECT FACILITIES

The ULAQ 11 PSV Port/Base Protection Unmanned Surface Vehicle to be produced under the contract will be used by the Qatari Coast Guard Command for reconnaissance, surveillance, intelligence missions, and critical facility base protection activities. The ULAQ 11 PSV, which will be delivered following the signing of the contract, will be equipped with a 12.7-millimeter automatic weapon system, radar, encrypted communication systems, and autonomy software on a high-capability platform.

TURKEY WILL SET TRENDS

Oğuzhan Pehlivanlı, Deputy General Manager of ARES Shipyard, stated that they continue their efforts to develop the world's best unmanned surface vehicles equipped with different concepts and payloads, aiming to position Turkey as a trend-setting pioneer and ally in this field.

Şükrü Serkan Sevim, Deputy General Manager of Meteksan Defense Autonomous Systems, emphasized their great pride in having achieved Turkey's first unmanned surface vehicle export and having products that have adapted to different seas and are increasingly recognized. He expressed that they are working with great motivation to meet the needs of both Turkey and friendly and allied countries in this field.
