Turkish President Meets Former UN General Assembly President In New York

Closed door meeting held at Turkevi Center in Manhattan.

Turkey's president met Monday with the president of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The closed-door meeting between Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Volkan Bozkir took place at the Turkevi Center, or Turkish House, in Manhattan across from UN headquarters.

The newly inaugurated Turkevi Center houses the UN permanent mission of Turkey and the Turkish Consulate General as well as the representation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Earlier in the day, Erdogan received UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to discuss issues related to Syria, Libya, Afghanistan and Cyprus.
