Turkiye's BIST 100 Index Up 0.92% At Open

BIST 100 index gains some 17.5 points from previous close.

Turkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 1,927.82 points on Tuesday, up 17.53 points, or 0.92%, from the previous close.

On Monday, the BIST 100 index closed the day at 1,910.29 points after decreasing sharply by 100.87 points, or 5.02%, with a daily trading volume of 39.3 billion liras ($2.9 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 13.4448 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), versus 13.4680 at Monday's close.

The euro/lira exchange rate was down to 15.2091 from 15.2120, while a British pound traded for 18.2138 liras, up from 18.1960.

Brent crude oil sold for around $86.20 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time . -
