U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth stated that the attacks they have initiated against the Houthis in Yemen will continue, saying, "These attacks will end the moment the Houthis say, 'We will stop attacking your ships and drones.'
Speaking to American Fox News, Secretary of Defense Hegseth made statements regarding the attacks on Yemen that began under the orders of U.S. President Donald Trump.
"IT WILL CONTINUE UNRELENTINGLY"
In his statements, Hegseth said, "These attacks will end the moment the Houthis say, 'We will stop attacking your ships and drones,' but until then, it will continue unrelentingly."
Hegseth suggested that the U.S. conducting these attacks against the Houthis is directly related to its national interests, warning, "Iran has been enabling the Houthis for a long time. It would be good if they withdrew now."
TRUMP'S FIRST WAR ORDER
U.S. President Donald Trump announced yesterday on his Truth Social platform account that he has ordered the military to launch a major attack against the Houthis in Yemen.
The Iran-backed Houthis stated that in the airstrikes conducted by the U.S. and the U.K. on the capital Sana'a and the northern city of Saada, 31 people, mostly women and children, were killed, and 101 were injured.
HOUTHIS THREATENED
On the other hand, the Houthis stated in a statement following the U.S. attacks that the targeting of civilians is another proof of American terrorism against the peoples and countries that oppose it. The statement indicated that the attacks were carried out due to Yemen's supportive stance towards the Palestinian people, emphasizing that this situation will not prevent Yemen from supporting Palestine and fulfilling its duty to assist Gaza.
The Houthis stated in a statement on March 7 that they have given Israel a 4-day deadline to allow aid into Gaza, otherwise they would resume naval operations against Israel.
