Gastronomy expert and food critic Vedat Milor had dinner with his wife at the City Restaurant opened by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). Milor evaluated the quality of the dishes and the overall condition of the restaurant.

Milor, who was accompanied by Dr. Buğra Gökce, the President of the Istanbul Planning Agency (IPA), stated that he waited in line for a long time. Milor, who said, "There is a line, but we waited in line," added, "I've been curious for a while because the set meal here is 40 TL. If anyone can fill their stomach at home for 40 lira, please let us know; how do you do it?"

In the continuation of his evaluation, Milor stated, "Cleanliness is noticeable, our lentil soup, pasta, and dessert are either fruit or sweets. It’s incredible that this meal is 40 TL. I tried the lentil soup. It's delicious. The consistency is very good. The lentil flavor is nice." He remarked, "This place is not like a soup kitchen; it's a cheap tradesman's restaurant. It doesn't humiliate people's dignity. Ekrem İmamoğlu has read the spirit of the time very well; I hope the numbers increase."
