AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik reacted sharply to New Party Chairman Özgür Özel, who targeted President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan through the ongoing fund investigation debates. Stating that Özel's statements crossed the limits, Çelik said they would firmly stand against rhetoric directed at President Erdoğan.

Describing Özel's remarks as a 'lynching campaign,' Ömer Çelik said that President Erdoğan is a red line for them. Emphasizing that they will never allow slander against the President, Çelik announced that they will fight at the highest level on this issue.
Çelik used the following statements: 'After a beautiful evening full of culture and art, I would not want to speak about an unpleasant topic like Özgür Özel. But he used certain statements against our esteemed President. Özgür Özel must also receive a response to these statements.'
"OUR PRESIDENT IS ONE OF THE FEW LEADERS WHO SHAPE WORLD POLITICS"
Our esteemed President is the leader who has governed the Republic of Turkey with the highest level of political capacity in our republican history. After the Atatürk era, after the transition to multi-party life, in the multi-party era, no leader has been seen who governed the Republic of Turkey with such high capacity, wisdom, astuteness, and political performance.
Our esteemed President is one of the few leaders who shape world politics. Therefore, let alone Özgür Özel making an assessment on such a matter, as someone who does not even have elementary-school-level knowledge about governing Turkey, and as someone who does not even have kindergarten-level knowledge about world politics, it is not his place to make such statements.
Someone who has handed the Republican People's Party, one of the important parties to which our citizens have given their hearts in our republican history, over to a theft ring with his own hands, someone who could not manage his own party, has no ability whatsoever to evaluate the presidency of the Republic of Turkey, our esteemed President's governing capacity, and his governing performance.
"THOSE WHO USURP OUR CITIZENS' RIGHTS WILL DEFINITELY PAY THE PRICE"
Those who usurp our citizens' rights will definitely pay the price. Whoever they may be. The rights of our citizens whose rights have been usurped will also be restored to them. While this is being done, the money for it will be taken from these fund swindlers. Not a single penny will come out of the state's pocket or the nation's pocket.
With the instruction of our esteemed President, the fund board established under the chairmanship of our Vice President held its fourth meeting. Decisions are being taken swiftly. So, while all these frameworks are being created, what is the opposition doing? Led by Özgür Özel, they are practicing a politics of lies, a politics of slander. And every day they are signing an immoral approach that blows up in their hands.
"OUR PRESIDENT IS OUR RED LINE"
We will neither allow a political lynching campaign, nor allow people to target others through a political lynching campaign, nor will we allow any allegation about someone to be covered up with political protection. This matter has now exceeded its limits. If anyone attacks our ministers, our deputy chairmen, the institutional identity of the AK Party, but most importantly—look, I am speaking plainly—our President and our President's family by producing lies through political lynching campaigns, we will give the clearest answer to that.
Let anyone who has documents or information take them to the courthouse and provide the information. Through political lynching, they first lynch people by saying allegation, saying hearsay, saying it was like this or like that. Then, when it turns out to be a lie, they do not apologize. Our President is our red line. We will move to the highest level of struggle on this issue.
