The European Parliament adopted a resolution containing baseless claims that the Turkish Armed Forces committed crimes against women during the 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation. Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz stated that this resolution would diminish the European Parliament's credibility and that it is 'null and void.' Yılmaz said, 'Those who engage in such polemics in the European Parliament today should first look at the genocide in Gaza. If they are looking for something to condemn, they should look at the genocide in Gaza.'
Vice President Yılmaz reacted to the European Parliament's (EP) scandalous decision regarding the 1974 Peace Operation. Yılmaz stated that the said scandalous decision is 'null and void'.

Regarding the EP decision containing baseless allegations that the Turkish Armed Forces committed crimes against women during the 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation, Vice President Yılmaz said, 'We do not recognize this decision in any way; it is a null and void decision.'
Yılmaz stated, 'This decision diminishes and lowers the reputation of the European Parliament. The European Parliament should not fall for such games.'
