Israel reportedly shared intelligence with the U.S. administration regarding a new assassination plot by Iran targeting U.S. President Donald Trump. Details of the plan were conveyed to U.S. officials, and it was stated that Trump has been a target of Iran since the killing of Qasem Soleimani in 2020.

As tensions between the US and Iran continue to escalate, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) brought a striking claim to the forefront. According to the newspaper's report, citing sources close to the matter, Israel shared intelligence with the Washington administration that Iran has prepared a new assassination plot targeting US President Donald Trump.

The report stated that information regarding Iran's plans was conveyed to US officials, but did not include details on when or through which channel the intelligence was transmitted.

"TRUMP HAS BEEN A TARGET SINCE THE SOLEIMANI OPERATION"

In the WSJ report, it was claimed that after the US killed Qasem Soleimani, commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force, in 2020, the Tehran administration has frequently voiced threats against Trump in public.

The report also alleged that during funeral ceremonies for Iran's former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who is said to have died in US and Israeli attacks, calls for Trump's death were prominent.

TRUMP HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN THE TARGET OF ASSASSINATION ATTEMPTS

Trump was wounded in his right ear during an armed attack at a campaign rally held in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024.

On September 15, 2024, an ambush attempt by an armed individual while Trump was at a golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, was thwarted at the last moment by the Secret Service.

Most recently, on April 25, a planned armed attack on the White House Correspondents' Association dinner, attended by Trump and cabinet members, was reported to have been prevented when the suspect was apprehended by the Secret Service.
