The meeting of the DEM Party with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı continues to be on the agenda. The delegation of the DEM Party, consisting of Istanbul MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Van MP Pervin Buldan, met with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan on İmralı Island on December 28, after a 4.5-year hiatus.

VISIT TO KURTULMUŞ AND BAHÇELİ AFTER İMRALI

After the İmralı visit, the DEM Party delegation had two critical meetings last Thursday. The delegation, consisting of Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Pervin Buldan, and Ahmet Türk, visited the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) Numan Kurtulmuş and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli. Bahçeli's welcoming of the delegation at the door before the 40-minute meeting was also widely discussed.

DEM PARTY'S MEETING PROGRAM

This week, the DEM Party delegation continued its contacts, meeting with the Future Party at 11:00. Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu welcomed the İmralı delegation at the door.

Ahmet Davutoğlu's remark to Sırrı Süreyya Önder, "You are brightening up the Assembly," led to laughter when Önder replied, "The atmosphere is gloomy enough."

THE NEXT STOP: AK PARTY

The İmralı delegation will meet with the AK Party delegation led by Abdullah Güler at 13:00. After this meeting, they will meet with Saadet Party Chairman Mahmut Arıkan at 15:30.

VISITS TO TWO PARTIES ON TUESDAY

The meetings will continue on Tuesday, January 7. The İmralı delegation will have its first meeting with the DEVA Party at 13:00 and will meet with the Renewed Welfare Party at 15:30.

GOOD PARTY HAS CLOSED ITS DOORS

Good Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu had closed the doors to the DEM Party delegation, which was on a tour of the Assembly after the meeting with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan. Dervişoğlu stated at a press conference, "The Good Party will not engage with the terrorist organization that seeks to be forgiven, its so-called leader, the spokespersons who want to legitimize them, their partners, and their delegations that have no political responsibility in any way."
