During the visit of the Turkey Press Federation to the Saudi Arabian Embassy, Ambassador Fahad b. Assaad Abualnasr stated that the relations between the two countries are progressing stronger in political, economic, and regional areas, and that the aim is to further expand cooperation.
A visit was made to the Embassy of Saudi Arabia by the Turkish Press Federation. During the visit, Saudi Arabian Ambassador Fahad b. Assaad Abualnasr made noteworthy evaluations regarding the current status and future of relations between Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
EMPHASIS ON STRONG WILL IN RELATIONS
It was stated that the relations between Saudi Arabia and Turkey have recently entered a rapid and multidimensional development process with the determined approach of the leadership of both countries. It was expressed that mutual high-level visits have strengthened this process, and it was emphasized that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's visit to Saudi Arabia in February 2026 opened a new chapter in the relations.
ECONOMIC COOPERATION IS EXPANDING
Attention was drawn to the increasing cooperation opportunities in many areas, primarily investment, energy, industry, construction, tourism, logistics, and advanced technologies, between the two countries. It was stated that the development of joint projects is aimed within the frameworks of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and Turkey's Century vision.
REGIONAL STABILITY AND COMMON STANCE
It was reported that Saudi Arabia has adopted an approach prioritizing the preservation of stability, prevention of the spread of crises, and prioritization of diplomatic solutions in its regional policy. It was noted that the coordination carried out with Turkey plays an important role in the face of regional developments.
MESSAGE ON IRAN AND REGIONAL TENSION
While it was emphasized that Saudi Arabia has shown a clear stance against Iran's attacks in the region, it was stated that threats to Turkey's security are also unacceptable. It was expressed that the tension in the region should be reduced and diplomatic solutions should be supported.
ENERGY SECURITY AND STRATEGIC ROUTES
It was noted that the stability of energy markets and the security of maritime routes are among the priority issues, and it was recorded that the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb are of critical importance for global trade.
CLEAR STANCE ON GAZA AND PALESTINE
It was stated that Saudi Arabia rejects Israel's attacks on Palestine and supports international efforts for a two-state solution. Additionally, it was reported that humanitarian aid continues and significant support is provided to the region.
INNOVATIONS IN HAJJ AND UMRAH SERVICES
It was mentioned that the Kingdom is working to improve the quality of its hajj and umrah services, and with the "Mekke Road" application, Turkish pilgrims can complete their transactions in Turkey, allowing them to perform their worship more quickly and comfortably.
SUPPORT FOR THE CEASEFIRE PROCESS
It was stated that Saudi Arabia welcomed the ceasefire achieved between the USA and Iran and hopes that this process will be permanent.
