Israel's extensive attacks on Lebanon are further escalating tensions in the region, raising concerns about the increasing loss of life. Images coming from the area resemble a hellish scene.

The Israeli army announced that it has carried out the largest airstrike against Hezbollah since the conflict in Lebanon began. Hundreds of people have lost their lives in the attacks, and images coming from the region have shocked the world. 

100 TARGETS HIT IN 10 MINUTES

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that in the most extensive airstrike conducted since March 2, more than 100 targets were hit simultaneously across Lebanon within 10 minutes. The statement indicated that command centers, headquarters, and military facilities belonging to Hezbollah in Beirut, Bekaa, and Southern Lebanon were targeted. It was reported that intelligence command centers, infrastructure capable of launching missiles, naval forces, as well as the Ridwan Force, which is among Hezbollah's elite units, and air unit elements were struck.

OPERATION WITH 50 FIGHTER JETS

According to a report by Israeli media based on military sources, 50 fighter jets were involved in the attacks. It was stated that a total of 160 bombs were dropped on 100 targets in approximately 10 minutes.

CIVILIAN AREAS ALSO TARGETED

Israel acknowledged that a significant portion of the attacks took place in areas populated by civilians. The statement claimed that the operation was carried out after weeks of planning and that measures were taken to reduce civilian casualties.

HUNDREDS OF CASUALTIES AND INJURIES

Lebanon's Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine announced that hundreds of people have died or been injured in Israel's airstrikes. Georges Kettaneh, Secretary General of the Lebanese Red Cross, described the situation in the country as a "disaster." Kettaneh noted that many people were trapped under the rubble and that buildings had completely collapsed in some areas, while evacuations from hospitals in Beirut to health centers outside the city for the treatment of the injured had begun.
