Samsunspor President Yüksel Yıldırım spoke ambitiously before their match against Fenerbahçe, who qualified for the Champions League after 18 years. Samsunspor President Yüksel Yıldırım made statements to Gazete Gerçek ahead of their league match against Fenerbahçe.
Yıldırım stated that Fenerbahçe's participation in the Champions League has given the yellow-navy team significant motivation, and said that Samsunspor will take to the field with the goal of victory.

Referring to Fenerbahçe's return to the Champions League after 18 years, Yıldırım said that although the yellow-navy team appears tired, their motivation is high.
Yıldırım said, "Fenerbahçe made Türkiye very happy on Wednesday night. They are entering the Champions League after 18 years. Fenerbahçe looks tired, but they have incredible motivation. They will come to Samsun with the aim of an absolute victory."

Yıldırım also explained Samsunspor's goal in the match, emphasizing that among the big four teams in the Süper Lig, Fenerbahçe is the only team they have not yet defeated.
"Our goal is first not to lose in the match, and then to take 3 points if we can. We will go into the match for a definite point. Our main aim is to beat Fenerbahçe. This is my fourth year in the Süper Lig. We have beaten all of the big four teams in the Süper Lig except Fenerbahçe. We have only failed to beat Fenerbahçe. This time, we want to beat Fenerbahçe."
