The President of the Presidency of Defense Industries, Haluk Görgün, announced that the ATMACA anti-ship missile hit a land target with pinpoint accuracy in a launch from TCG Burgazada. The missile gained an area of effect from sea to land, providing a strategic advantage.
President of the Defense Industry Agency Haluk Görgün announced an important development regarding the new capability of the ATMACA missile in a post he made on social media.
"THE EFFECTIVE RANGE EXTENDING FROM SEA TO LAND"
Görgün stated in his post, "The steel sword of the Blue Homeland, ATMACA, hit the land coordinate target with full accuracy in the shot conducted from the TCG Burgazada platform. With this capability, ATMACA has demonstrated its effective engagement capability not only against maritime targets but also against strategic targets on land. Thanks to national data link integration, the system has gained the ability to update its mission during flight, providing high flexibility and operational superiority in dynamic operational environments. This multidimensional effective range extending from sea to land once again confirms the inter-system integration capability of our defense industry and the depth of the operational field. I congratulate all our stakeholders, especially ROKETSAN, as well as our engineers and technicians who contributed to this significant achievement.
