FROM THE 'ABSOLUTE NULLITY' DECISION TO THE NEW PARTY
The rift within the CHP began with the 'absolute nullity' crisis triggered by the judicial decision on May 21. Taking the podium for the last time at the CHP Group Meeting on Tuesday, Özgür Özel declared they were launching a new political movement. With the completion of the process, Özgür Özel shared a farewell video from the moments he signed the founding documents on his social media accounts. Having removed the title 'CHP Chairman' from social media and changed his profile photo, Özel stated in his post-signature message: 'May it be auspicious for the homeland, the nation, our party, and all of us.'
A MIGHTY CADRE OF 91 DEPUTIES AT THE MINISTRY OF INTERIOR
Along with Özgür Özel, 90 deputies resigned from CHP by taking part in the founding board. The official establishment petition was dispatched for submission to the Ministry of Interior.
