Peyman Pınar Mersinli, the mother of İsa Aras Mersinli, who killed 9 people in an attack he organized on a school in Kahramanmaraş, has been arrested. The Kahramanmaraş Republic Prosecutor's Office stated that the mother was arrested on the grounds that she caused the incident by not taking into account the doctor's recommendations that her child needed psychiatric treatment.
A new development has occurred regarding Pınar Peyman Mersinli, the mother of 16-year-old İsa Aras Mersinli, who caused the death of 9 people in an armed attack he organized at a middle school in Kahramanmaraş. The mother Mersinli, who was previously released, was taken into custody again and referred to the courthouse.

Pınar Peyman Mersinli, who is a teacher, was arrested by the court she was brought before on charges of "causing death by negligence" and sent to prison. It was reported that the extensive investigation into the incident continues.
STATEMENT FROM THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
A statement was made by the Kahramanmaraş Republic Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the arrest of Peyman Pınar Mersinli, the mother of İsa Aras Mersinli, who killed 9 people, including 1 teacher, and injured 21 people in the armed attack he carried out at Ayser Çalık Middle School.
DID NOT TAKE DOCTOR'S RECOMMENDATIONS INTO ACCOUNT
The statement indicated that the recommendations and diagnoses by child psychiatrists at the outpatient clinics the attacker was taken to on different dates before the incident, stating that he needed treatment, were not taken into account by the mother, and it was stated as follows: "All information and documents aimed at determining the health problems of the perpetrator İsa Aras Mersinli, as reflected in the file, have been obtained from the relevant health institutions. As a result of the examination of these documents, it has been determined that despite two psychologists working at two different official and private institutions making a diagnosis and recommendation before the date of the incident that İsa Aras Mersinli needed treatment at the child psychiatry outpatient clinic, the mother P.P.M. did not take the doctors' recommendations into account, did not apply to the psychiatry outpatient clinics for the said medical support, and thus showed negligence in her responsibilities regarding the treatment of the psychological disorders of the perpetrator, which are evaluated to have caused him to carry out the acts of killing and injuring.
"NEGLIGENCE IN THE CONCRETE CASE"
In this direction, by our Kahramanmaraş Republic Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspect P.P.M. has been referred to the On-Duty Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a request for her arrest, taking into consideration her negligent act in the concrete case and the severity of the consequence resulting from this negligence. As a result of the interrogation conducted by the Kahramanmaraş On-Duty Criminal Judgeship of Peace, a decision was made to arrest P.P.M. and the suspect was handed over to penal execution institutions."
