Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev announced that sending troops to the "Gaza Stability Force," which has come to the fore following the end of the conflicts in Gaza, is not planned. Aliyev emphasized that the mission's definition has not been clarified and also denied the statement from the U.S. that "they have given approval."

Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev stated that sending troops to the proposed Gaza Stability Force to secure the region when the conflicts in Gaza end and humanitarian access expands is not on the agenda.

"WE RECEIVED AN OFFER BUT THE MISSION DESCRIPTION IS NOT CLEAR"

In an interview with local television channels, Aliyev mentioned that they received an offer to participate in the mentioned force. However, he expressed that the mission description of the formation has not been clarified so far, stating that Azerbaijan will not participate in any mission until this uncertainty is resolved.

"WE WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN CONFLICT MISSIONS"

Recalling that Azerbaijani soldiers have previously served in peacekeeping missions in Iraq, Kosovo, and Afghanistan, Aliyev emphasized that these operations were not conflict missions. He stated, "It is not anticipated that we will participate in conflict missions outside the borders of Azerbaijan."

"WE HAVE NO INTENTION OF ENDANGERING THE LIVES OF AZERBAIJANIS"

Stating that Azerbaijani citizens are valuable to them, Aliyev said, "We have no intention of risking the lives and health of Azerbaijanis for the sake of someone else's interests."

"THE US APPROVAL STATEMENT IS BASELESS"

Aliyev described the statements of the US representative at the UN regarding Azerbaijan's approval to participate in the Gaza Stability Force as "baseless." He stated that Azerbaijan conveyed to the American administration through diplomatic channels that these statements are unacceptable, and noted that they sent a document consisting of 20 questions to the US and that participation will not be on the agenda until the answers are clarified.
