A national day of mourning has been declared for one day due to the fire disaster that occurred in Bolu the night before last, which resulted in the deaths of 76 people. Following the declaration of national mourning, flags were lowered to half-mast in Istanbul, as well as across the country.

After the fire disaster at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Bolu Kartalkaya, which claimed the lives of 76 people the previous night, it was announced in President Erdoğan's statement following the cabinet meeting that a one-day national mourning has been declared.
