A statement from ABP Chairman Bedri Yalçın strengthened this possibility. Yalçın, who claimed that 86 members of parliament would leave the CHP and join their party, said, "Negotiations are ongoing. 86 members of parliament will join us from these. After that, there are nearly 74 provincial heads. They are already joining our party."
Bedri Yalçın, Chairman of the Anatolia Union Party (ABP), spoke about the meetings with CHP Group Chairman Özgür Özel and his team, who were removed from their chairmanship duties after the court's absolute nullity decision.
Stating that the claims that 3 deputies would switch to ABP are not true, Yalçın said, "Yes, meetings are being held, we have our team and they have theirs. We have no problems; we are a party that has established organizations in 81 provinces and entered the elections. In other words, we are a party without any suspicion. But right now, there is absolutely no bargaining over parliamentary seats. Can there be bargaining for the homeland? Right now, there is a homeland issue in the country. Meetings are ongoing. We have no deficiencies anyway. They also researched us. We also researched them. About 86 deputies will join us from them. After that, there are around 74 provincial chairpersons. They are already joining our party," he said.
"WE WILL HAVE TO GO TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY"
Stating that the content of the meetings is about those leaving CHP joining ABP, Bedri Yalçın said, "Of course, there is no problem, there is no obstacle right now, no issue either. They don't have a problem anyway. In other words, they have no chance to go back to CHP. Even if they did, CHP wouldn't take them back. After they transfer, we will have to go to the general assembly. After they transfer and we complete things like forming a group in the parliament, we will go to the general assembly. What will we do at the general assembly? We will change the number of members. They will also bring members to us. What is it? Party assembly members, Central Executive Committee, Central Decision and Administrative Board, General Administrative Board; these will be arranged. After that, there is no problem, we will continue," he said.
"NO BARGAINING, I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT MONEY"
Emphasizing that there was no bargaining in the meetings, Yalçın reacted to claims that money was demanded. Yalçın said, "There is no such bargaining. I know nothing about money. We have no price. Someone wrote, 'Party for sale on Sahibinden.' Are you buying land, property? What are you buying? We have been established as a party for 6 years; we owe no one a single lira, we have no business with anyone, we have no suspicion with anyone," he stated.

Stating that the claims like "I won't accept unless Mansur Yavaş becomes chairman" are also not true, Yalçın said, "No, 'I won't accept unless Mansur Yavaş becomes president either.' There is no such thing. I didn't talk about it. If I had, I would say so like a man. Actually, I visited Mansur Bey as well. He said, 'I already know you didn't say such a thing. But thank you for coming and informing me.' So I spoke with him too. That's the situation," he said.
