Özcan Deniz, who is under investigation for making illegal additions to his villas, has now come under the scrutiny of the Ministry of Finance. The words of his estranged brother were accepted as a tip-off.
Famous singer and actor Özcan Deniz has been in the news for a long time due to tensions he has been experiencing with his family. Particularly, his grievances with his brother Ercan Deniz, with whom he has worked in the past, are drawing attention. Ercan Deniz made shocking statements about Özcan's financial situation, detailing his brother's earnings and the taxes he paid. According to a report by Tuğba Kalçık from Sabah newspaper, following these statements, an investigation was initiated against Özcan Deniz by the Tax Audit Board.

Özcan Deniz had recently given a statement to the prosecutor's office due to illegal additions made to his villa in Sarıyer. Now, he has come under the scrutiny of the Ministry of Finance. Ercan Deniz revealed that Özcan earns 2 million 250 thousand lira monthly from the series he stars in and even disclosed the details of his monthly credit card expenses. Following these developments, the Tax Audit Board has launched an in-depth investigation into Özcan Deniz.
WHAT HAPPENED?
According to allegations, artist Özcan Deniz registered the title deeds of three properties located in Sarıyer in the name of his brother Ercan Deniz. Later, wanting to register these properties in his own name, the artist applied to the Istanbul Civil Court to file a lawsuit for cancellation and registration of the title deed.
Özcan Deniz, who went to give a statement to the prosecutor's office due to the detection of illegal structures in the house he resides in, later made a statement. Stating that he is not the owner of the construction, Özcan Deniz said, 'I am only the holder of the usufruct right. As the person living in the house, I became aware of the existence of the illegal aspects of the construction through the municipality's warnings and sent a notice to Deniz Film saying, 'This is the responsibility of the company that built the construction, correct these.' Unfortunately, there was no response to this.'
Özcan Deniz later explained that he applied to the municipality for a building renovation permit through legal means, saying, "I applied to the municipality on January 13. I went to the municipality in good faith and said, 'Illegal structures have been detected here, and I am the person living inside and I am the aggrieved party. Give me a building renovation permit so that I can fix it.' I said. 'The municipality filed a complaint on January 14, just one day after I made this good faith application,' he said. Deniz, who claimed that the construction was carried out by Deniz Film for about 1.5 to 2 years and that there were no lawsuits during this period, stated, 'Right now, I am being treated as if I am the one who has resorted to legal means. I am completely in a victim position.'
