A new operation was carried out in the drug investigation involving famous personalities. Four people, including social media influencer Bilal Hancı, were detained.

The drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes Investigation Bureau is ongoing. A new operation was carried out this morning as part of the investigation.

FOUR PEOPLE DETAINED

Social media influencer Bilal Hancı, magazine writer Mehmet Üstündağ, Abdullah Gençal, and İbrahim Barut have been detained. It has been learned that three suspects, who have detention orders against them, are abroad. The detained individuals are expected to be taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for drug testing.

OPERATIONS AGAINST CELEBRITIES CONTINUE

The drug investigation targeting celebrities has been on Turkey's agenda since October of last year. Many well-known figures, including musicians, managers, and businesspeople, have provided hair and blood samples for statements and drug testing. Additionally, Ceyda Ersoy, Gizem Özköroğlu, Ece Cerenbeli, Burak Altındağ, Sevgi Taşdan, Duygu Açıksöz, Nevin Şimşek, Merve Uslu, Lerna Elmas, Hakan Yıldız, Koray Beşli, Berna Aracı, Gülsüm Bayrak, Veysel Avcı, Özge Bitmez, Suat Yıldız, and Merve Eryiğit are among those who have been arrested. Arrest warrants have been issued for Şevval Şahin, Mert Vidinli, and Kasım Garipoğlu.

In the latest operation carried out as part of the investigation, 23 suspects, including former football player and sports commentator Ümit Karan, were detained.
