Samsunspor President Yüksel Yıldırım confirmed the alleged argument with Fenerbahçe Vice President Barış Göktürk during the Clubs Association meeting. Yıldırım claimed that he reacted to the words 'Don't speak, shut up,' saying 'Who do you think you are? Know your place!' while also emphasizing that he is not an enemy of Fenerbahçe.

Samsunspor President Yüksel Yıldırım, who was alleged to have argued with Fenerbahçe Vice President Barış Göktürk at the Clubs Union meeting, spoke to TGRT. Yıldırım explained the background of the events at the meeting, using striking statements.

"I WAS PORTRAYED AS A FENERBAHÇE ENEMY"

Yüksel Yıldırım, stating that he spoke about clubs' revenue sources at the meeting, expressed that his words were misunderstood. Yıldırım said, "Suddenly, I started being portrayed as a Fenerbahçe enemy in Turkey. Yet most of my friends are Fenerbahçe supporters. I have very good relations with Fenerbahçe fans; such a thing would never happen."

ALLEGATION OF "YOU DON'T SPEAK, BE QUIET"

Yıldırım claimed that Barış Göktürk told him, "Don't speak, be quiet, listen," and said he reacted strongly to this. The Samsunspor President stated, "I said, 'Who do you think you are? Know your place! You can't talk to me like that. I am the president, the owner of Samsunspor. That gentleman came through elections; he might be gone in six months.'"

REASON FOR THE ARGUMENT

Yıldırım mentioned that during the meeting, he made assessments regarding state supports and real estate projects of major clubs, and the ensuing argument arose from these remarks.
