Following the detection of an unauthorized demonstration to be held in the Şişli district of Istanbul, all types of meetings, demonstrations, and press statements have been banned for a period of three days.
The Şişli District Governorship announced that all kinds of meetings, demonstrations, and press statements are prohibited for a period of 3 days in the district.
UNAUTHORIZED DEMONSTRATION DETECTED
In a written statement from the governorship, it was noted that it has been determined that some non-governmental organizations and communities are planning to hold unauthorized demonstrations in Şişli through their social media accounts.
"NO PERMISSION WILL BE GRANTED FOR ACTIONS AND PRESS STATEMENTS"
The statement included the following expressions: "It has been determined that various marginal groups are preparing to organize unauthorized demonstrations in the Şişli district on social media platforms. These groups, which are trying to disrupt the peace of our city and our fellow citizens, will not be allowed to hold unauthorized actions and press statements. In this context, all kinds of meetings, demonstrations, and press statements have been prohibited by the Şişli District Governorship from March 9 to 11."
