Yusuf Tekin's harsh response to Ekrem İmamoğlu: A friend who is impaired in understanding what he reads in Turkish.

The Minister of National Education, Yusuf Tekin, responded to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu in his statements regarding the daycare discussions. Tekin said, "He is a friend who is deficient in understanding what he reads in Turkish."

The tension in the debate over daycare, which started with the circular published by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, is rising with each passing day. Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu said in a recent statement, "Come on, if you have the courage, shut it down."

RESPONSE FROM YUSUF TEKİN

Responding to Ekrem İmamoğlu's statements before the AK Party Group Meeting, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin made remarks that would escalate the tension.

"Let me say this first: If Mr. İmamoğlu had the ability to understand what he reads in Turkish, he would have won a good university," Tekin stated, adding, "He would have graduated from a decent university without any need for such tricks. This indicates that he has a problem with comprehension. This is clear. The events that occurred during the university selection process also show this. He is a friend who is impaired in understanding what he reads in Turkish," he said.

"CHALLENGING THE RULES OF THE RULE OF LAW"

Tekin also stated, "I recommend that he take a good Turkish course, that is the first thing. Secondly, it seems that he is inspired by the language of the terrorist groups he collaborates with, as he challenges the rules of the rule of law. This, as I understand it, is Ekrem İmamoğlu's style of governance. The decision is his. We live according to the principles of the rule of law. We also do what is required by the rule of law."
