Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that they did not attempt to attack Russian President Vladimir Putin's official residence with drones. Zelensky said, "The claims do not reflect the truth. The Russians have clearly fabricated a false story about an attack on a dictator's residence."

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky evaluated the statement regarding the attempted drone attack on Russian President Vladimir Putin's official residence in the Novgorod region in a written post on his social media accounts.

"RUSSIA WANTS TO NEGATIVELY AFFECT PEACE TALKS"

Noting that Russia's aim is to negatively affect the peace talks between the Ukrainian side and U.S. President Donald Trump, Zelensky stated, "Dangerous statements have come from Russia. The Russians have clearly fabricated a false story about a type of attack on the residence of a Russian dictator in order to find an excuse to continue their attacks on Ukraine, and especially Kyiv, and to refuse to take the necessary steps to end the war."
