In a video message shared on his social media accounts, Zelensky addressed airline companies using Russian airspace, insurers, and parties that continue to use Russia's major airports.
Arguing that Russia's airspace is no longer safe, Zelensky said, "Ukraine does not threaten civil aviation itself or any civilian aircraft, but the drones will be so dense in Russia's skies that this needs to be taken into account."

Zelensky alleged that Russian authorities are not providing the necessary information about dangers in the airspace, stating, "Russia's airspace will effectively close. The war Russia started is closing its own airspace."
Zelensky, who used the phrase "Safe moments in Russia's airspace are over," noted that it is important for ambassadors serving in Kyiv and Moscow to also hear "this warning."
Zelensky stated that diplomats know what Russia's war means for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people and should convey this information to their capitals.
Noting that airline companies flying to airports in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other key points in Russia, in particular, should heed the warning, Zelensky concluded his message with the words: "There is no place for civil aviation in airspace where drones are present."
