In Sultangazi, Çiğdem Kınay (45) was shot and killed by her son Azad Kınay (20) during an argument for reasons yet unknown. While the mother's lifeless body was taken to the morgue, police teams began working to capture the fleeing Azad Kınay.
HE KILLED HIS MOTHER AND FLED THE HOUSE
The incident occurred around 00:00 in 1385 Street, Yunusemre Neighborhood. According to allegations, Çiğdem Kınay, who lived in an apartment on the 5th floor, had an argument with her son Azad Kınay for reasons yet unknown. As the argument escalated, Azad Kınay shot his mother. While mother Çiğdem Kınay collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood, her son fled the house. Residents of the building reported the situation to the police and health teams.
RELATIVES EXPERIENCED A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN
In the examination conducted by the health teams who arrived upon the notification, it was determined that Çiğdem Kınay had lost her life. Police teams conducted a detailed investigation in the house. Teams that gathered information from the residents of the building began to review the surrounding cameras. Meanwhile, relatives of Kınay, who arrived at the scene upon hearing the news, experienced a nervous breakdown. After the police investigation, the lifeless body of Çiğdem Kınay was taken to the Yenibosna Forensic Medicine Institution by ambulance.
THEY MOVED TO CAPTURE HIM
Teams from the Sultangazi District Police Department's Public Order Bureau and the Istanbul Police Department's Homicide Bureau began working to capture Azad Kınay, who fled after killing his mother. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
