At the graduation ceremony of the Military Academy, the decision to dismiss Colonel Alper Topsakal, the Acting Commander of the School, was revoked following the chanting of the slogan "We are soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" and the sword oath ceremony.

It has been reported that the Ankara 19th Administrative Court ruled to annul the decision regarding the termination of Colonel Mustafa Alper Topsakal's relationship with the Turkish Armed Forces due to the reading of the Officer's Oath by the lieutenants who were dismissed after the graduation ceremony of the Military Academy on August 30, 2024.

In a written statement, Topsakal's lawyer Cengiz Demirtaş said, "In the annulment case filed for my client, Infantry Commando Colonel Mustafa Alper Topsakal, who was penalized with separation from the TSK due to the events that occurred after the graduation and flag handover ceremony held at the Military Academy on August 30, 2024, the administrative court has decided to annul the separation penalty."

It is extremely valuable that the administrative court has decided to annul the unlawful separation penalty imposed on this heroic officer, who has served the Turkish Armed Forces with nearly 32 years of outstanding duty and discipline, including his years as a military student, and who has selflessly served in counter-terrorism missions for many years.

"WE ARE VERY HAPPY"

We are very happy that Infantry Commando Colonel Mustafa Alper Topsakal will continue to serve selflessly in the ranks of the TSK. We would like to emphasize that when my client returns to his duties in the Turkish Armed Forces as a result of the decision regarding him, he will continue to work with sacrifice and loyalty for the homeland, nation, and state, just as he has until now."
