In Çanakkale, which has been shaken by fire disasters for days, a forest fire broke out once again today. While aerial intervention is underway, the flames are threatening the Kaz Mountains.

A forest fire broke out in the Denizgöründü area of Çanakkale around 1:30 PM. The flames spread over a wide area due to the wind. Teams from the Çanakkale Forest Regional Directorate were dispatched to the area upon notification. The intervention against the flames is ongoing from both air and ground.

FLAMES THREATEN KAZ DAĞLARI

It has been reported that the fire, which is growing due to the wind, is advancing towards the villages of Elmacık, Karapınar, and Denizgöründü.

The General President of Agricultural Forest Workers Union, Yusuf Kurt, shared a photo from the fire area on his social media account, stating, "If quick, sufficient, and effective intervention is not made from the air and ground with the right decisions in Elmacık, Kaz Dağları will experience a disaster."
